Elk Grove, CA (Future150) -- Just two days after landing Rainier Beach (WA) 2015 point guard David Crisp, the Washington Huskies have struck again, landing another highly regarded West Coast prospect.
Marquese Chriss, a 6-foot-8 forward from Elk Grove (CA) gave his pledge to Lorenzo Romar and UW staff on Monday. He announced his decision on his Twitter account, and it is big news for the program.
An elite athlete with excellent timing on the defensive end, Chriss knows how to finish everything around the rim and has a good nose for the ball. He rebounds the basketball at a high level and is beginning to really develop his offensive skills.
Right now, he is more of combo forward who needs to develop his perimeter skills as well as polish his low post game. However, he has as much upside as almost any other prospect in the class.
With their big week on the recruiting trail, Washington is in the process of assembling a top 25 class thus far.
