Baltimore, MD (Future150) -- The Cincinnati Bearcats landed their point guard of the future on Tuesday night, picking up a commitment from Milford Mill (MD) floor general Justin Jenifer.
The 5-foot-10 prospect picked the Bearcats over the likes of Louisville, Xavier, Providence, Texas Tech, Southern California, Clemson, Harvard, Cornell, Princeton and Stanford.
Jenifer has been on the recruiting scene since his middle school days. A strong bodied guard who is always in attack mode, he is an excellent finisher around the rim and uses an explosive first step to get to the rim at will.
This AAU season, he has been the point man on a loaded Team Takeover squad in the Nike EYBL. Averaging 8.0 points, 4.1 assists, 2.8 rebounds & 1.2 steals per game in a loaded backcourt, he has helped lead his team to July's Peach Jam Finals in Augusta, Georgia.
Look for Jenifer to fit in nicely with the Bearcats playing style, taking advantage of his open court speed and tenacious on-ball defense.
