Chicago, IL (Future150) -- Make no mistake, today is one of the most important day in our nation's great history. Looking forward this could be one of the most important days in Northwestern's basketball history as well.
On Independence day, Chris Collins and staff landed the most highly touted prospect to come to Northwestern in the past twelve years in SF Vic Law.
The highly talented small forward blew up a bit over this past winter, including a standout performance at the illustrious Hoophall Classic in Springfield, Mass.
This is a major get for the Wildcats, who beat out the likes of Colorado, VCU, Seton Hall, West Virginia, Illinois, Vanderbilt, Creighton, and Stanford for the wings services.
This is also the first four-star recruit to commit to the Northwestern since 2002, signaling a change in how the Wildcats will recruit under new head man Chris Collins.
Now they will turn their sights on PG Tyler Ulis, who recently visited the campus. They are also focused on combo forwards Josh Cunningham and Paul White, as well as big men Reid Travis and Alec Brennan.
While the Wildcats have yet to make the NCAA tournament, look for that to change if Collins can add a few more players like Vic Law.
