Syracuse, NY (Future150) -- Traditionally, it takes big men much longer to develop their skills and coordination. The bigger the prospect, the longer it takes to adjust. For 2019 post Quincy Ballard, he's playing a significant game of catch up.

The Henninger High School (NY) prospect is fairly new to the game of basketball, but in a short period of time, the 6'8" big man is doing some impressive things on the floor. Also, it's important to keep in mind that he'll be reclassing to the class of 2020 after this school year, which will be crucial for his development.

Showing out at our Future150 East Coast Camp in September, the high upside post left a lasting imprint on our staff.

"A massive prospect who measured at 6'8.5" with a size 17 sneaker, the big man is only in his first year of playing organized basketball. While being pretty raw on both ends of the floor, he's already showing just how impressive his ceiling might be. He finished around the rim, and even showed range out to the three-point line. With a lot of work over the next year, he can play at the division one level."

While he's being brought along slowly by his high school coach, there sure is a college coach out there who would love to have a big man with the kind of talent Ballard has.

While Quincy is an avid art fan who loves to design and create, Gym Ratz AAU coach Billy Edelin can be credited with doing an excellent job of molding his own project, the talented post.

"I try to use my strength, height and athleticism to my advantage. I follow Ben Simmons and The Greek Freak. Both are outstanding and I love the way they play," he told Future150.

Working to improve all areas of his game, don't be surprised if you really start to hear a lot about him this coming AAU season, especially if he continues to improve at this rapid pace.
