Bothell, WA (Future150) -- One of the top lead guards on the west coast, Zach LaVine is drawing plenty of interest from multiple programs, and for good reason. The talented point guard is a gifted scorer who can get to the rim with ease as well as set his teammates up for easy baskets.
It's his ability to get into the lane that sets him apart from his peers out west, as well as his improvement as a point guard. Last year he was looking for his shot a little too much, but has gotten better running an offense in the past few months. This evolution in his game has only made him more attractive to schools around the country.
Programs such as Arizona, Baylor, Cal, Colorado, Gonzaga, Louisville, Texas, USC, Utah, UCLA, and Washington have all offered him already and Arizona State has begun to show interest as well. Despite having such an impressive list, LaVine admits that one program is sticking out. UCLA has been recruiting him hard and it has paid off, as he acknowledges that the Bruins are his favorite right now.
While the Bruins have yet to land anyone in the 2013 class, there is no doubt that LaVine would be a great start to it.
