Charlottesville, VA (Future150) -- Arguably the best performer of the 2013 NPBA Top 100 Camp was 2014 shooting guard Kelly Oubre. Throughout the camp, he backed up his tremendous play from earlier in the spring AAU season. He has also saw his recruitment speed up.

“I’m hearing from Louisville, Kansas, Georgetown, Arizona, Florida, UCLA, Texas, and Alabama, schools like that,” he told Future150.com.

To this point, no visits are planned. However, the 6-foot-5 guard knows two schools that will receive official visits in the fall.

“I don’t have anything planned yet, but I’m definitely going to Louisville and Kansas. Those two schools are sticking out. Louisville is coming the hardest.”

Coming off a national championship, it is easy to see why the Cardinals are sticking out. However, Rick Pitino has drawn the interest of Oubre.

“Coach [Rick] Pitino is a great guy and he works his players to be the best they can be. He doesn’t like to see his players fail. He and his staff are coming pretty hard,” Oubre noted.

A decision is still in the distant future for the Oubre family, but there are hopes of narrowing things down by the end of the AAU season.

“My dad and I will work on getting my top five at the end of the AAU season; after that, we will take visits.

While he doesn’t necessarily know where he will attend college, the rising senior did make a big decision while in Virginia. Instead of returning to Houston for high school in the fall, Oubre will attend Findlay Prep (Nev.).

Oubre is the No. 12 overall player in the latest 2014 Future150 Rankings.
