Laurel, MS (Future150) -- 2017 G/F Troymain Crosby of Laurel High School (MS) had a big time showing at Future150 Memphis Camp this past summer, and is now committed to Alcorn State. A lot has gone on since we last saw Crosby, so Future150 wanted to check in and see how things were going as his senior year of high school basketball gets underway.
"My high school season has started off a little slow, but lately it has been going great," Crosby said. "My main goals for senior year are to win another state championship and become one of the top players in Mississippi and in the country."
He definitely doesn't lack confidence, and at 6'4", he can affect the game in so many ways, having the skills to be able to play the one, two, and the three positions, which is one of the reasons he took home Co-MVP honors this past summer after attending Future150's Memphis Camp.
As Crosby begins to wrap up his high school career, his focus will begin to shift to his college career waiting for him at Alcorn State.
"I am really honored that they gave me a chance to play on the division one level straight out of high school," he said. "Once I get there I'll be playing the guard position, and I see myself becoming a big factor for their program because I can do it all."
Alcorn State got an absolute steal with the Mississippi product, and it will be very fun to see how he performs and develops at the next level.
