Lewisville, NC (Future150) -- Team United has been known for producing very solid guards that usually thrive at the division one level in college. Their latest stud comes in the form of 2018 CG Tripp Greene of Forsyth Country Day School in Lewisville, North Carolina.
Greene really seemed to improve over the course of the AAU season, and he hopes to carry these improvements with him into the next high school season where he will be depended on to lead his team as one of the upperclassmen.
"I think I got a lot better with being an offensively minded player," Greene said. "And also with getting the guys together and trying to be a leader of the team as a point guard."
We list Greene as a CG on our wesbite because of his elite shooting and ball-handling abilities. Make no mistake that he is fully capable of running the PG position as he possesses fantastic court vision, and is very unselfish with the ball in his hands. At the next level it looks like we will project as a floor general unless he hits another growth spurt before then.
There are a handful of schools that he has been hearing from quite often, but still has not landed an offer yet. It wouldn't be surprising to see Greene land his first handful of offers once this coming high school season starts.
"I've been hearing from some great schools," Greene said. "Such as, Old Dominion, Wofford, App State, and East Carolina."
Other schools like American, Charlotte, Davidson, Furman, UNC-Asheville, and Virginia have expressed interest in Greene in the past as well.
With AAU season slowly coming to a close, high school season is right around the corner. It sounds like he has some lofty expectations for his Forsyth Country Day squad and himself.
"I am looking forward to stepping up and being a true leader of the team this year, and making sure we give forth full effort to win as many games as possible," Greene said. "Personally I want to achieve the goal of scoring my 1000th point, and of course I want to win a state championship with the guys this year!."
If you're looking for a potential breakout candidate in the 2018 class from North Carolina for this coming high school season, Greene is your man.
Stay locked in with Future150 as we continue to track his development and recruitment process.
