Pineville, KY (Future150) -- 2020 SG Trey Brock of Bell County High School (KY) seems like he's ready to burst onto the high school hoops scene in Kentucky. After a big summer which included making the all-star game at Future150's Frosh/Soph Summit Camp, and running with B. Maze Elite on the UAA Circuit, it's easy to see why.
"I like to model my game after Russell Westbrook and Grayson Allen," Brock said.
Two of the most polarizing figures in the game of basketball today, Brock definitely passes the eye test when talking about athletic, playmaking guards. Standing almost 6'4" in shoes and garnering a very impressive 41 inch maximum vertical, he is very hard to guard when in attack mode.
"My athleticism and having the capabilities of being a lockdown defender," Brock said when asked what he believes makes him a valuable prospect. "Offensively, I can get to the rim and knock down shots."
Brock isn't anywhere near a one-dimensional player on offense. He can kill the defense with his penetration, but he's also no slouch when it comes to taking shots well beyond three-point range. It also helps that off the court he's carrying a 3.85 GPA.
While Brock's recruitment hasn't gotten off to a start yet, it will start to pick up very soon, especially if he's carrying in the momentum that he picked up in the summer and carries it over to the high school season.
Stay locked in with Future150 as we continue to track Brock's progress and recruitment down the road.
