Seattle, WA (Future150) -- After a long, hard season, the work is finally beginning to pay off for 2014 Seattle-Lakeside (Wash.) point guard Tramaine Isabell.
The 6-foot point guard recently picked up his first scholarship offer, coming from none other than his hometown school, Seattle University.
"It feels good [to get the offer]. It was kind of a relief at first," Isabell told Future150.com. "But it also makes me hungrier. I just have to continue to work hard and good things will come my way."
The city of Seattle has quietly become one of the more successful basketball hotbeds out West, and it is starting to show. With players being produced like Peyton Siva, the city is just scraping the surface with talent.
"I love Seattle. The basketball community and fans are pretty serious, so I like that a lot. All the guys that have gone to college or that are in the league are really down to earth. They interact with high school players like myself."
Seattle University could be just the start of a long list of offers for Isabell. Oregon State, Washington, Washington State, Arizona, USC, UC Irvine, Boise State, Montana, Providence, and Lehigh are involved also.
Isabell will run with Seattle Rotary Select on the AAU circuit this spring.
