New York, NY (Future150) -- Nate Pierre-Louis has been a known commodity for a few years now, as he has always been one of the more naturally gifted players in the class of 2017.
After a resurgent high school and start to the AAU season, he has become more of a national recruit as well. The 6-foot-3 combo guard is highly intriguing to college coaches thanks to his ability to handle the ball and his natural scoring prowess.
Vanderbilt and Purdue have both offered recently, while St. John's is showing interest and recently hosted him in their Elite Camp earlier this month. Pittsburgh, Temple, Seton Hall and SMU are all showing serious interest as well.
"It was fun getting to play against the top players in the tri-state area and seeing some of the other guys playing on different circuits, I just wanted to go out and dominate whenever I got the chance," Pierre-Louis said of the experience.
The Sports U product is hoping to get things done sooner rather than later on the recruiting front, and will make a decision in October or November. Purdue and Vanderbilt have wasted little time getting towards the top of his list, while St. John's would represent an opportunity to stay close to home should they offer.
More schools could get involved this summer though. Pierre-Louis was one of the top players at the Rumble in the Bronx earlier this month as well, which could be a sign of things to come. Follow along with Future150 as we continue to monitor the talented NJ native's progress.
