East Lansing, MI (Future150) -- Michigan State missed a few monster names in the last few years. Jabari Parker and Caleb Swanigan were near misses.  This cycle the MSU Spartans landed all those close calls.

The backbone of the class is Cassius Winston (Future150 #31).

"This is definitely a dream come true," said Winston on the phone Monday evening.  "When you are a little kid you definitely dream about playing on that next stage and I get the opportunity to do that.  It is a blessing."

Joining the Green

Josh Langford (#23) and Nick Ward (#75) began the train of commitments.  When Cassius made his choice the full puzzle became clear.

"I haven't had any doubt in my mind, since I made my decision, that I was going to be a spartan," said Winston.

The verbal commitment of Winston absolutely paved the way for Miles Bridges (#9).

"It kind of worked out that way," said Winston.  "Some good players committed before me.  I committed and Miles (Bridges) and I talked about doing this.  And now we have a pretty good class."

Winston will sign Wednesday.

"This is the final stage of guaranteeting I am a Spartan," said Winston.  "I am not backing out of my decision or anything like that.  It is just nice to get it out of the way."
