Philadelphia, PA (Future150) -- The Big Dance is finally here and while everyone would like to cut down the nets, there can only be one champion. That being said, there is always the chance that the next season could be better than the last. With that in mind, Future150 would like to introduce "The Next Step", a segment dedicated to breaking down each program's recruiting class as they bow out of the tournament; because there's always next season.
Temple lost in the most March Madness kind of way, off of a buzzer beating tip shot in OT at the hands of the Iowa Hawkeyes. The Owls lose big time scorer Quenton DeCosey to graduation which is going to sting quite a bit.
One Quenton lost, another Quinton enters. Welcome Quinton Rose out of Rochester, New York. The PG has fantastic size at 6'6 for the lead guard position. His length allows him to finish in the paint over smaller guards, and gives him a huge rebounding advantage on both ends of the floor. If he can develop more of a three point shot, Rose will be a matchup nightmare.
Looking into the frontcourt, the Owls have big man Damion Moore out of Callaway (MS) who has a very solid frame at 6'11 and 225 pounds. Moore is a raw prospect in the middle but his potential is through the roof. If he can learn to knock down the mid-range jumper with consistency, he will be a multi-dimensional scorer when on the court.
Temple's final commit of the 2016 clas comes from PG Alani Moore out of Washington, D.C. Moore doesn't have nearly the size that Rose does but he is a much better overall scorer and his ball-handling skills are magical. Watch for Moore and Rose to be a deadly backcourt duo for coach Fran Dunphy in the near future.
