Providence, RI (Future150) -- The Big Dance is finally here and while everyone would like to cut down the nets, there can only be one champion. That being said, there is always the chance that the next season could be better than the last. With that in mind, Future150 would like to introduce "The Next Step", a segment dedicated to breaking down each program's recruiting class as they bow out of the tournament; because theres' always next season.
The Friars knocked out USC in the first round but couldn't get past a talented UNC team in the second round. What's the next step for Providence?
The biggest question for the Friars is if Kris Dunn will enter the NBA Draft or not. Either way Ed Cooley has a big time PG prospect coming in, in the form of Maliek White.
White has certainly earned the reputation as a high major lead guard with his beautiful pull-up jumper, and his fantastic athleticism. If Dunn decides to test the NBA waters, White may be expected to play major minutes and lead the team.
Either way Providence seems to have a bright future under Ed Cooley. Expect the Friars to contend in the Big East and make plenty of apperances in the big dance for the next few years to come.
