Fresno, CA (Future150) -- The Big Dance is finally here and while everyone would like to cut down the nets, there can only be one champion. That being said, there is always the chance that the next season could be better than the last. With that in mind, Future150 would like to introduce "The Next Step", a segment dedicated to breaking down each program's recruiting class as they bow out of the tournament; because there's always next season.

Fresno State fans have been waiting to make the tournament since Rodney Terry was hired, and he delivered in a big way this year. Behind the play of Marvelle Harris and Cezar Guerrero,  Fresno State finished second in the MWC before winning their conference championship game.

Unfortunately for the Bulldogs, Harris, Guerrero, and shooting guard Julien Lewis are all seniors. That being said, Fresno State should be one of the better teams in the MWC next season. Colorado transfer Jaron Hopkins will become eligible and Rodney Terry will welcome in a pair of promising freshmen.

Johnny McWilliams and Bryson Williams are both intriguing prospects who aren't close to their ceilings. McWilliams can shoot the ball from deep as well as handle the ball as well. His size at 6-foot-4 allows him to be an above average defender and he has a high basketball IQ as well. Williams has been committed to Terry and company since 2014, and the athletic four man is a pogo stick athlete who plays very hard. His motor and athleticism make him a fantastic rebounder as well.

Make no mistake, this is a program that is on the rise. While it has taken longer than some expected due to transfers, Fresno State is on the up and up under Rodney Terry.
