Dayton, OH (Future150) -- The Big Dance is finally here and while everyone would like to cut down the nets, there can only be one champion. That being said, there is always the chance that the next season could be better than the last. With that in mind, Future150 would like to introduce "The Next Step", a segment dedicated to breaking down each program's recruitng class as they bow out of the tournament; because there's always next season.
First up are the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights. FDU finished second in their conference before beating Wagner for the automatic bid. While they currently only have one commit in the class of 2016, it's hard to see how the Knights won't get better.
6-foot-7 combo-forward Kaleb Bishop will step in next season and should be ready to contribute from day one. He brings a toughness and winning attitude to the floor that only comes from playing for a coach of Bob Hurley's stature. The St. Anthony's product can score around the rim and is a decent rebounder as well. His toughness also makes him an above average defender. Bishop will be able to be used in multiple positions and scenarios. He has the toughness to play the five at times, and could be used as a three in certain spots as well.
Perhaps the most important thing for FDU is the fact that they are the third youngest team in the nation. Marques Townes and Mike Holloway both look like players who could take a big step forward. Look for the Knights to contend for another conference title and return to the dance next season.
