Dayton, OH (Future150) -- The Big Dance is finally here and while everyone would like to cut down the nets, there can only be one champion. That being said, there is always the chance that the next season could be better than the last. With that in mind, Future150 would like to introduce "The Next Step", a segment dedicated to breaking down each program's recruiting class as they bow out of the tournament; because there's always next season.
The Dayton Flyers were hoping to beat Syracuse for the 2nd time in 3 years in the tournament, but it was The Orange who got revenge. While the season may be over, there is plenty to be excited about in Dayton.
Trey Landers is the lone 2016 commit, and will bring a toughness, as well as a scoring punch to the Flyers. That's important, as Dyshawn Pierre moves on at the end of the year. More importantly for Dayton, their highly regarded 2015 class of Sam Miller, Xeyrius Williams, and John Crosby will all be a year older.
The Atlantic Ten has become one of the best basketball conferences in the country, and Dayton should contend for a title again next season as long as Archie Miller is leading this group.
