Cincinnati, OH (Future150) -- The Big Dance is finally here and while everyone would like to cut down the nets, there can only be one champion. That being said, there is always the chance that the next season could be better than the last. With that in mind, Future150 would like to introduce "The Next Step", a segment dedicated to breaking down each program's recruiting class as they bow out of the tournament; because theare's always next season.
Cincinnati played St. Joe's down to the last second in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Now that the season is over and the Bearcats lose Octavious Ellis and Farad Cobb to graduation, what's the next step for Mick Cronin and company?
Enter SG Jarron Cumberland of Wilmington (OH). The four-star prospect should be able to contribute from day one with his high motor and ability to finish through contact with ease. Cumberland can score in bunches and he should be a perfect fit in the Bearcats system as he can grab a rebound and push the ball all the way up the floor which can result in a layup or a kickout for three.
The other half of the Bearcats recruiting class comes in the form of C Nysier Brooks. The big man out of Philly has a perfect build for the tough-nosed Big East standing at 6'10 and 260 pounds, he can have his way with most opponents with his back to the basket. Brooks will also help make up for the lost rebounding and blocked shots that will be left behind by Ellis.
With Troy Caupain and Gary Clark running the show, on top of a very solid two man recruiting class, don't be surprised to see Coach Cronin's squad dancing again next season.
