Bakersfield, CA (Future150) -- The Big Dance is finally here and while everyone would like to cut down the nets, there can only be one champion. That being said, there is always the chance that the next season could be better than the last. With that in mind, Future150 would like to introduce "The Next Step", a segment dedicated to breaking down each program's recruiting class as they bow out of the tournament; because there's always next season.
Cal State-Bakersfield made the dance for the first time as a division one program this year and didn't dissapoint. The Roadrunners took Oklahoma to the brink for 30 minutes before ultimately falling short. Now the question is: will we see them next year?
There's a good chance. Despite losing Aly Ahmed and Kevin Mayes to graduation this year, the Roadrunners have a strong returning core. JuCo commits like James Suber, Fallou Ndoye, and Bradley Christian will be ready to contribute from day one.
A pair of athletic wings will join the ranks as freshmen next year as well. Taze Moore and Justin Davis are both 6-foot-5 slashers with burgeoning skill sets who could turn into all-conference type players with a little development.
The RoadRunners have some serious talent on their roster, and may be able to upset a high major program next season. Ultimately only time will tell.
