Berkeley, CA (Future150) -- The Big Dance is finally here and while everyone would like to cut down the nets, there can only be one champion. That being said, there is always the chance that the next season could be better than the last. With that in mind, Future150 would like to introduce "The Next Step", a segment dedicated to breaking down each program's recruiting class as they bow out of the tournament; because there's always next season.

At one point this season, Cal was riding high, as they moved towards the tournament on a hot streak. Shortly after the NCAA tournament field was announced, things went wrong for the Bears. With some off the court issues, combined with Ty Wallace breaking his hand in practice, the writing was on the wall against Hawaii. The Rainbow Warriors toppled Cal, a result that surprised only a few.

Now, the program will have to account for some big losses. Wallace graduates, and the tought is that star freshmen Ivan Rabb and Jaylen Brown are bound for the NBA. Trough in those potential off the court issues and an uncertainty as to who will be on staff, and rocky times could be ahead for the program.

JuCo point guard Dontae Coleman and 3-star wing Tyson Jolly (A Future150 Alum) will enter the fray next season. Coleman will be a servicable backup to Sam Singer, while Jolly could start on the wing opposite of Jabari Bird.

Make no mistake, Cal will still have a number of talented pieces on their roster. But with so many uncertainies with this group, the only projection that can be made at this stage is that no one knows what next year's Bears will look like.
