Detroit, MI (Future150) -- Zavon Godwin is next in a long line of talented wings in the Michigan Mustang program.
The long, athletic wing is quick off his feet.
"He is young for his age as he is still only 14 years old," said AAU Coach Mike Faletti. "Good catch-and-shoot shooter from deep. Good finisher in transition."
Godwin is widely regarded as a top five Michigander from the Class of 2018. The Mustangs have several other top talents on the 15u squad.
Jalen Tobias "has the ability to finish above the rim in traffic," said Coach Faletti. "Physical energy player down low. Very good rebounder and shotblocker. Blocks a lot of perimeter jump shots. He is ambidextrious. Although he is right handed, he prefers to finish with his left."
Tobias competes for the legendary Detroit Renaissance High School squad. He is a high motor player with a powerful body. Though his position is somewhat unclear, Miles Bridges was the same way as a freshman.
Coach Faletti wisely raves about Thomas Kithier and Davion Williams too.
While Kithier is a traditional face-up forward, Williams is a fantastic scoring guard.
"Super athletic," said Coach Faletti of Williams. "Can play all three perimeter positions. Has a very good mid-range pull-up jumper. Good at penetrating to the basket and hitting the man cutting back door. High energy/high motor guy. Can play the whole game with high intensity."
Later this week these Mustangs will enter the Brawl for the Ball in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
