Bradley, IL (Future150) -- Recruitments move at wildly variable speeds. Uncommon is the Marvin Bagley III trajectory.
For Micah Bradford it has been a grind, a grind he is willing to endure for his end-goal. Bradford is flashy, but his work ethic is nothing like those posers who only come alive when the bright lights catch them.
The Class of 2016 point guard aims to be the second Bradley-Bourboinaiss player to sign a D1 scholarship this year.
Just months ago Zachary Hollywood excitedly wrapped his recruitment by verbally committing to James Madison University.
Options Mount
"Just wanted to let you know Micah was offered by Valporaiso today," said father Barry Bradford Friday afternoon.
The Crusaders of Valpo join Chicago State, Illinois-Chicago, Wright State, and Bradley.
Wichita State and California are now in the picture. Wichita State has been around for awhile, but Cal popped in very recently. Neither have offered, but both are being heavily considered within the Bradford household.
"The other offers he has are all good coaches," said Coach Bradford. "We haven't taken any (officials) yet. That is another thing we are going to do this week. Tomorrow night we are going to sit down."
The 6-foot-0 guard, Bradford is another great Chicagoland target for Valpo. They expect to sign Zion Morgan next week. Morgan verbally committed to the cause after AAU season.
Bradford thrives with the ball in his hands. He can break down defenders with the dribble, but has no hesistation distributing. Bradford has an elite basketball mind. His court vision is unmatched.
The mental focus of Bradford elevates him from good prospect to certain college leader.
And the grind continues.
