Kaukauna, WI (Future150) -- PG Jordan McCabe of Kaukauna (WI) recently committed to West Virginia University, giving Bob Huggins his first prize of the 2018 class. A flashy floor general with fantastic court vision, and an improved scoring prowess, McCabe will have the tools and leadership abilities to help contribute right away.

"I chose West Virginia because it was the best fit for me, with a Hall of Fame coach who has showed so much loyalty to myself throughout the recruiting process," McCabe said. "It was a no brainer."

Not always known as a high major recruit, he really upped his stock this summer on the Adidas Gauntlet circuit running with the Wisconsin Playground Warriors. His leadership skills and improved scoring abilities were on full display. Known more as a fantastic distributor with beautiful handles, McCabe definitely added more weapons to his arsenal this summer that helped his recruitment.

Now that he has his college decision out of the way as a rising junior, the focus shifts to his remaining high school career at Kaukauna high school. Even though his school took home the state championship last season, McCabe claims expectations may be set even higher this year.

"(Our) expectations are just as high, if not higher than the ones we set last season when we won the state championship," McCabe said. "I can promise you no matter how loaded (the competition) is, I won't shy away from saying we are looking to win another state title for Kaukauna."

There is no doubt that he will arrive at West Virginia in a few years with a winning pedigree. Don't be surprised if he becomes a fan favorite in Morgantown with his scrappy style of play, as he will do whatever it takes to win. Not to mention his Jason Williams-like handles and court vision.

Stay locked in with Future150 as we continue to track McCabe's high school career before he begins his new journey as a Mountaineer.
