Philadelphia, PA (Future150) -- With the amount of players and clubs that are on the AAU circuit, it is easy to see that even in this day and age, kids fly under the radar. With 2014 point guard Steffen Davis of Mid Atlantic Select, that's the case.
Right now Davis is more of a scoring point guard. He uses an array of dribbles, crossovers, and head fakes in order to free himself from his defender. He has a dependable jumper from deep and uses his speed in order to get to the lane with ease.
Heading into the spring, he had yet to land a division one scholarship offer. After an impressive performance at the Philadelphia JamFest, Quinnipiac stepped up and pulled the trigger.
Other programs have begun to see how talented Davis is and will use this summer to further evaluate him. Boston University, Robert Morris, UMBC, American, Iona, Siena, and Mount St Mary's have all shown interest as well.
Davis is a hard-nosed type of player that helps his team win games. During the high school season he helped to lead Maret (DC) to the MAC championship after defeating Josh Hart and Sidwell Friends.
If you're looking for a guard who can score the ball and make winning plays, look no further; Steffen Davis is your guy.
