Orlando, FL (Future150) -- There is plenty of talent in the state of Florida, but the class of 2019 looks like it could be the best in quite some time. There looks to be a lot of potential high-major talent, and swingman Isaiah Palermo is certainly one of them.
The 6-foot-5 Osceola High School (FL) product is a fantastic athlete and it appears that his game is starting to round into form. Palermo is already a big time slasher and a decent defender, and while he still has work to do, it's easy to see his upside.
"I feel like I need to improve my guard skills because I see myself as a shooting guard at the next level and I need to get better to do that," said Palermo of the next step.
NAU has already offered him, while MTSU, FSU, Clemson, Southern Miss, UCF, Murray State and Georgia Tech are all tracking the CP25 Elite wing as well.
Ultimately, Palermo is just a consistent jumper away from being a really dangerous offensive weapon. With mechanics that look pretty good, it appears it's only a matter of time before those shots start falling.
Regardless, he is an incredibly talented wing that should draw plenty of eyes on the AAU circuit this spring and summer. It's going to be interesting to see how his recruitment changes in the coming months.
