Cornelius, NC (Future150) -- Qon Murphy of Hough (NC) is one of the best Sophomore's in North Carolina and already has high majors looking into him. The Future150 alumni holds offers from Hampton and UNC-Charlotte and has seen East Carolina, NC State, and Tennessee show interest in him lately.
Murphy is a physically imposing two guard that can do a variety of things on both ends of the floor. His overall versatility is what really makes him an intriguing prospect. He can score from all three levels on offense, and can also set up his teammates for easy scoring oppurtunities with his underrated halfcourt vision.
On defense he is very good at staying infront of his man and ripping balls out of passing lanes with his long wingspan. He also has the size and strength to guard bigger guys in the paint and is a tremendous rebounder.
Don't be surprised if there are plenty of coaches following Team United around during AAU season to keep their eye on Murphy. It would be silly to think his offer list only stays at two schools once this summer wraps up and he heads into his junior year.
Continue to follow along with Future150 as we track Murphy's progress and other Future150 alumni's heading into AAU season.
