Baton Rogue, LA (Future150) -- Future150 Alum Javonte Smart of Scotlandville (LA) has risen to a consensus top 10 player in the 2018 class (ranked #3 by Future150's national rankings).
Smart has already seen offers come his way from Baylor, Creighton, LSU, Massachusetts, Ohio State, Oklahoma, St. John's, Vanderbilt, and Wake Forest. He has also seen blue bloods like Kentucky, and North Carolina show interest in him this season.
One of the main reasons Smart has all these offers already as a Sophomore is his strength and size as a point guard. He probably has better strength than most guards that are freshman in college right now. Not to mention his elite althleticism and versatility. Overall Smart brings plenty to the table as a lead guard that can make his teammates around him better. Once he gets to the next level he should have the abilities to play the one through three, with the one being his natural position.
Smart will be a match-up nightmare in college, especially when you consider that he could get even taller over the next few years. Either way, Smart is poised to pick up even more high major offers over the summer during AAU season.
Continue to follow along with Future150 as we track Smart's progress and the rest of our Alum's from the 2018 class.
