Portland, OR (Future150) -- After putting his name on the map at the 2016 Future150 Elite24 Camp in Atlanta last August, 2021 guard Drew Carter is now emerging out on the West Coast.

The highly skilled combo guard was one of the breakout prospects of the camp, and impressed our staff greatly, who had this to say about his performance:

"The 6'1" combo guard has such an advanced skill-set that you immediately imagine just how good he can become down the road. However you need him to score, he can get it done by using his ball skills, instincts and high IQ. As a lead guard, he has advanced vision and uses his frame to be a physical on-ball defender as well. Look for him to become one of the hot names on the West Coast this coming year."

Playing at Twality Middle School (OR), he's having a monster middle school season, with averages of 24 points, 12 rebounds, eight assists, five steals & two blocks, while shooting 48% from the field, 40% from the 3-point line & 86% from the free throw line.

Heading to Tigard High School (OR) next season, you can expect him to immediately create a buzz, much like his older sister did at the same school. Alexis Carter is now a junior guard playing for Clemson, where she's a key contributor.

A kid with a laid-back personality, he's focused on creating his own legacy.

"I'm working on my weaknesses, improving my vocal leadership and watching more film. What I'm best at right now is my shooting, skill, size, attitude and my effort," he told Future150.

A player with goals to help give back and provide opportunities for others when he finishes his own playing career, his favorite quote gives you a lot of insight into his work ethic and personality.

“You can’t cheat the grind. It knows how much you’ve invested. It won’t give something you haven’t worked for.”
