York, PA (Future150) -- One of the best kept secrets in the state of Pennsylvania right now is 2015 power forward Jahaire Wilson of York High School. After leading the Bearcats to the District 3-AAAA Championship this year and earning MVP honors in the process, he is ready to put some buzz around his name this spring and summer.
Although the power forward only stands somewhere between the 6'3"-6"4" range, he was one of the most impressive rebounders I've seen this past year. He uses his explosive athleticism and long arms to snatch any board within his reach, and his blue-collar work ethic makes him one of the most productive prospects in the state.
For the season, he averaged 14.8 points, 11.8 rebounds & 2.2 blocks per game, yet was snubbed as an all-state selection, which should motivate him heading into AAU season, where he will play with Team Pennsylvania.
Playing with fellow central Pennsylvania stars such as Bud Mack, Jahaad Proctor and Dejour Williams, the team looks to make noise on the national circuit.
Because of his size, perimeter skill development over the next several months will go a long way in determining what level Wilson can play at the next level. Stay tuned to Future150 for updates on Wilson and Team Pennsylvania over the coming travel season.
