North Augusta, SC (Future150) -- Xavier Rathan-Mayes is one of the top shooting guards in the class of 2013, and now it seems that his recruitment is starting to wind down a bit. Rathan Mayes admits that six schools are standing out to him right now. Those six programs are Florida State, Memphis, Baylor, UCLA, UConn, and Alabama.

Rathan-Mayes' parents both went to FSU which could play a factor. UConn was a major presence at seemingly every game, as assistant Kevin Ollie was on hand throughout their games at the Peach Jam. With Markel Crawford commited to Memphis, Mayes could have a good idea of how he fits in there. The same could be said for UCLA, who has already landed Zach Lavine. Baylor could really use Rathan-Mayes, especially if they are on the outside looking in at the end of the Harrison twin sweepstakes. Alabama is another squad who would love to land Xavier, as his outside shooting is a valuable asset.

So who is out in front for this talented guard's services? It's unclear yet, but what could be the most telling is a school not named in these six; Kentucky. There was some talk of a Xavier Rathan-Mayes/Andrew Wiggins package deal and right now Florida State is seemingly in the best position to pull that deal off.

One thing is for sure, we will be keeping a close eye on his recruitment as it continues to develop.
