Springfield, MA (Future150) -- Montverde Academy (FL) is among the nation's top programs again this year. A lot of the production on this year's team has come from a loaded 2018 class and Simi Shittu has been arguably the most efficient of all of them.
The Canadian big man is in just his first year in the United States, but is more than comfortable playing against top tier talent here already. Against Sierra Canyon and Cody Riley, Shittu had 24 points and 10 rebounds at the Hoop Hall classic.
He has great hands, runs the floor well, and possesses great athleicism. Shittu is also working on a post game and has improved greatly on offense.
Oregon, Baylor, Kansas State, Illinois and New Mexico are all looking pretty smart, as they have already offered Shittu. Notre Dame, Florida, Kentucky, Alabama and Clemson have all shown interest as well.
With AAU season around the corner, it seems there will be more offers around the corner as well. Shittu will play up on 17U with CIA Bounce, so plenty of college coaches will get eyes on the talented sophomore. Look for more of the bluebloods to get involved sooner rather than later.
