Atlanta, GA (Future150) -- One of the most explosive and exciting guards in the Class of 2015 from the Southeast is none other than Morgan County’s Tookie Brown.
Brown, a 5-foot-11 point guard, starred for the Southern Stampede 16s this AAU season, and for the most part, he feels like he did a nice job of making a positive impression on the college coaches.
“I feel like I did well during AAU this year,” he told Future150.com. “I think I showed the coaches what I needed to.”
In fact, Brown already holds a couple of offers. Mississippi State offered earlier in the process, but he also garnered a new offer from UAB after his performance at the Power 24 last weekend.
“Miami, Virginia Tech, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Butler, and Ohio State are some of the other schools looking at me.”
The process is still moving rather slowly for the rising junior, but he does have a couple of visits he would like to make in the future.
“I definitely want to visit UConn and Georgia, and maybe Miami,” he said.
Brown spoke very highly of the Miami Hurricanes. He has a special interest in former point guard Shane Larkin, who was selected in the first round of this year’s NBA Draft. He thinks he could make an impact like Larkin did this season.
“I like Shane Larkin a lot. I think I can do a lot of things like he does. He is fun to watch.”
Brown is not yet ranked, but he will find himself as a four-star and in the 2015 Future150 rankings when they are updated soon.
