Indianapolis, IN (Future150) -- Sam Logwood is off the board to Auburn after a weekend official visit.
Logwood, a 6-foot-6 small forward out of La Lumiere (Ind.), gave his verbal commitment to Tony Barbee and the Tigers after being in attendance for the football team's victory over Washington State on Saturday.
"Auburn has the perfect situation," he told Future150.com. "They give the chance to play, have the perfect staff, and have a great community."
Barbee and his staff have been high on Logwood for over a year now, as they followed him closely during the evaluation process. In the end, it was a factor in the senior's decision.
"Loyalty is everything, and Auburn was loyal. It helped a lot."
Logwood, a three-star recruit, is the first commitment for the Tigers in 2014.
He was also considering Creighton, Wichita State, Illinois State, Oregon State, Ball State, Miami (OH), and Iowa.
