Memphis, TN (Future150) -- It hasn’t been the best or easiest season so far for 2014 Memphis-Bartlett (Tenn.) wing Ryan Miller. Sidelined with an Achilles injury for the part of the season, the athlete was forced to watch his team from the bench.
Nevertheless, the 6-foot guard has the worst of his injury behind him, and just in time for the playoffs.
“My injury forced me to sit out half the season, but it’s going great right now,” he told Future150.com. “Now we are third in the district, and we’re playing really well as a team.”
Not only has Miller missed some time on the court, but he has also missed some opportunities to play in front of college coaches. However, he is still drawing some interest.
“I don’t have any offers yet, but luckily I still have time. Arkansas-Little Rock has sent me a few letters in the past. I also really like Middle Tennessee State.”
Miller stuck out in the Birmingham Future150 camp back in the fall, mainly because of his high-motor and energy that he showed consistently. He has been working on many different aspects of his game, but there is one particular part that is sticking out.
“The strength to my game is definitely my mid-range. I love everything inside the three-point line, but I can hit some three-pointers consistently now. I need to work on my ball-handling, though.”
Keep an eye out for Miller and Bartlett High as the Memphis playoffs are beginning to heat up.
Comments:
Ryan has joined the Memphis Falcons organization and has been working his butt off night in and night out. Almost back to 100% and will definitely make some noise this summer. Great kid too
