Richmond, VA (Future150) -- Throughout the recruiting process, 2013 St. Christopher's (VA) power forward Rodney Williams has been accustomed to seeing mid-majors fill the gym for him.
While most would have jumped on a couple of high-major offers, the 6-foot-8 big man knows where he will thrive, as he made his commitment Friday night.
"I'm going to Drexel," Williams announced at his high school team's midnight madness event.
The Dragons have been consistent for quite some time, so, according to Williams, it only made sense to make things official.
"It just seems like the right place for me," he explained. "They never waivered on my recruitment and the coaches were always straight-forward with me."
At one point the talented big man was looking at a host of schools, but ultimately the Dragons edged out St. Bonaventure.
"After debriefing from a long process, I knew Drexel was the right place for me. I'm excited."
Williams is a three-star according to Future150 and comes in at No. 120 in the 2013 Future150 Rankings.
