Nashville, TN (Future150) -- With the playoffs on the horizon, Rob Marberry is setting the pace for his Franklin Road Academy (Tenn.) squad. Sitting at 17-3, they look to make a good run at a state title in Tennessee.
The 6-foot-7 forward is averaging 15 points and eight rebounds to go along with five blocks per game.
Through all of this, Marberry has also had the challenge of handling a very busy recruitment that will continue to expand as the summer nears.
“Vanderbilt is starting to recruit me a lot now,” he told Future150.com. “Middle Tennessee State is also coming pretty hard.”
Last weekend, the star junior was one of many recruits on UAB’s campus to see the Blazers take on Memphis in what will be the final Bartow Classic, as Memphis is set to join the Big East.
In addition to that visit, Marberry has also visited Tulane and LSU. He also has another visit lined up in the near future.
“I will be at the Western Kentucky-Middle Tennessee State game on the 26th.”
“I want to take a visit to Georgia sometime, too. They’ve been sending me a lot of letters lately.”
Lipscomb, Miami (OH), and Virginia Tech continue their high interest on the recruiting trail, and expect others to follow suit.
Belmont, Mercer, and UT-Chattanooga are among the other schools that have offered Marberry thus far.
Marberry is a four-star according to Future150 and comes in at No. 86 in the 2014 Future150 Rankings.
