Martinsville, VA (Future150) -- 2018 PG Rasir Bolton of Carlisle School (VA) has had a handful of mid-major offers for sometime now including East Carolina, Old Dominion, and Richmond and sports one ACC offer from Virginia Tech.

After working hard this offseason, Bolton is now starting to see an uptick in high major schools coming in contact with him.

"This offseason I stayed in the weight room and worked on my decision making," Bolton said. "I also worked on reading different (in-game) situations and learning when and when not to score."

Even as just a Sophomore, Bolton has had an aggressive and unique mindset this season which has led to multiple 30+ point scoring outputs this early in the season. Including dropping 37 against Boston College bound PG Ty Graves of High Point Christian Academy.

"My mindset has just been to make this season special, and play every game with a sense of (urgency) like it's my last," Bolton said.

You can just see the special abilities Bolton possesses as a point guard when you watch him play. His best attribute is his IQ on running an offense and knowing exactly what to do in certain situations. He also has an amazingly quick first step that allows him to slash the lane with ease, and a very underrated three point shot that he can hit way beyond the line.

A few high majors have been getting in contact with Bolton quite frequently as of late after noticing and hearing about his game that has taken the next step.

"Florida, Georgetown, and Virginia are the three main schools that have been showing the most interest lately," Said Bolton.

Virginia is smart for getting in touch with Rasir early on in his recruitment as he is an in-state kid and could be a huge piece to their recruitment class that year.

For now Bolton will focus on leading his Carlisle through the heat of the high school season and continue to try and put up the gaudy averages that he has been posting throughout the first few games of the season. He does, however, plan on possibly taking some visits this summer, and has a couple schools in mind.

"I'm thinking about getting down to Florida and Virginia some time over the summer."

Continue to follow along here at Future150 as we continue to follow Bolton and his recruitment process that should continue to heat up as the season rolls along.
