Tyler, TX (Future150) -- Future150 invaded Tyler, Texas this past weekend and there were some wonderful games.

Saturday morning started off right with a double overtime game between 9th/10th grade division teams Tyler Magic and Morning Stars out of Shreveport. The Magic was down by thirteen with five minutes to go in the second half and 2018 guards Jaylon Grant and Jaivon Williams led an incredible comeback for the win.

Grant is a point guard that excels mainly in transition, but also is able to dunk on the big in the paint. He scored 20 points in both overtimes and was one of he most impressive players in the tournament. Williams is a knock-down shooter, lethal off the catch-and-shoot. Williams made eight threes in his first game and showed capabilities to put the ball on the floor and score.

Morning Stars had two spectacular guards.  From the class of 2019 guard Demarcitana McNeil joined 2017 guard Traveion Fields. McNeil can score at a high volume and does shoot a jumpshot when left open. His scores mainly arise from attacking the rim and finishing with either hand. Fields plays point guard for the team and he is also a high volume scorer with nice vision in the half court.

Live Action

The next game featured Athens Cuse and Live Action which was a close game throughout. Class of 2018 guard Miles Koehler (Cuse) ran the show and he plays with a high basketball IQ accompanied with a good pull-up jumper. What he may lack in athleticism and speed he makes up for with skill and knowledge.

Live Action guard Kordell Rodgers (Class of 2017) did a good job scoring in a variety of ways. He kept his poise at the end of the victory and made clutch shots.  Teammate and 2017 post Nicholas Wilson was also a handful Saturday, as he used his size to get good position in the post. Wilson's ambidextrous hook shot also impressed.

Monroe Bulldogs 2018 guard Matthew Marx filled up the point sheet Saturday as he shot the outside ball very well. Off the dribble, catch and shoot, and driving in the lane Marx was a problem for other teams.

Finally, the 8th grade Tyler Spurs handled their own, going 2-0 in the 9th/10th division.  Point forward Ke'Andre Street (2019) was a problem.  As an explosive player Street plays above the rim and  operates from anywhere on the court.  From the perimeter, he can create his own shot and for others. Street caught it in the high post, took a dribble going right, spun off his defender and finished with a reverse layup. Street has top tier skill, comparable with any eighth grader in Texas.
