Houston, TX (Future150) -- Notes from Montrel Phillips.

This past weekend Future150 was in Houston again to cover the PrimeTime Sports Summer Hoops Tour.

Take a look at the top players from Saturday.

Kizhon Brown PG 2020, Team Kemistry: Brown has good vision in transition and made some high-IQ plays. He also is a solid scorer, but mainly he thrives in transition.  To expand his game Brown will want to become more deadly in the halfcourt to match his exceptional breakout skills.

Lawrence Clark PF 2021, Team Kemistry: Clark is a banger on the block with a soft touch. He can step out to the midrange and shoot with confidence. The ability to operate in the high post or on the block is what makes Clark and efficient scorer.

Simeon McKnight CG 2021, Houston Phenoms: McKnight scored well from the perimeter on Saturday, as he utilized his quick first step and consistent shooting motion. He was one of the better scorers in his division this weekend.

Daelyn Williams PG 2021, Houston Phenoms: Williams is a strong finisher inside for a guard.  He initiates contact inside. He handles the ball well and he controlled the ball under heavy pressure.

Joseph Williams SF 2016, Native Pride: Williams showed his versatility, as he scored from the inside and out. A solid three point shooter when his feet are set, Williams was blocking shots against opposing bigs.

Angel Bullock PG 2016, Native Pride: Bullock is a nice shooter that does a good job getting his team setup in their offense. His handles are good, but not elite. He does a good job using his body, so he doesn't get ripped.

Tyler Pondexter SF 2019, Texas Elite: Pondexter is an athletic forward that made a huge impact on defense. He is a good on-ball defender and he is a solid shot-blocker. He is very active in transition and does not need the ball to make a impact on the game.

Keilan Holland PF 2019, Texas Elite: Holland is a big-bodied post that scores well in the paint. He has good footwork.  It allows him to create space for a shot on the block.  Holland rebounds well on both ends.

Cambridge Guidry PG 2020, Texas Elite: Guidry was on a tear offensively as he scored over 20 points multiple times this weekend. He is a great defender due to his quickness and active hands.

Avery Johnson PF 2015, Imperial Hoops: Johnson is an athletic and active forward that rebounds at a high rate.  His high motor sets him apart from the competition.  He runs the floor well, which allows him to score in transition.

Anthony Watkins PF 2019, Forth Worth Hornets: Watkins is a bruiser inside with a soft touch around the rim. He does have solid ball-handling abilities as that was shown when he got a rebound and dribbled in transition. If he works on his handles he has the chance to be a solid face-up forward in the future.

David Woosley PG 2019, Forth Worth Hornets: Woosley mainly scores off shooting three pointers, which he did very well Saturday.  He has a good handle on the ball.  Woosley has a deceptive dribble, as it looks slow but it is still very effective.

Trenton Guidry PF 2017, LC Stars: Guidry was strong inside defensively. He played strong help-side defense and used his good vertical abilities to block and alter shots.  Guidry played well against tough competition.

Mike Donnell PG 2018, Tyler Magic: Donnell showcased his high-level scoring abilities again. As an undersized guard Donnell does a fantastic job creating space against bigger defenders.  He is a great shooter from the point guard spot.

Chance Amie PG 2018, Tyler Magic: Amie helped run the show for the Magic. As a 6-foot-4 point guard Amie will be interesting to track going forward.  Tall guards sometimes take longer to develop their handle.  Amie still didn't handle heavy pressure well, but he has the tools to be a special player.
