Austin, TX (Future150) -- Future150 was back in the gym at the PrimeTime Sports Capital Classic in Austin, TX. There was a huge number of talented prospects that showed out over the Memorial Day Weekend, let's check out Saturday's top performers.
2021 G/F Michael Moreno (SA All-Stars) - Moreno had a great showing Saturday afternoon as he helped guide his Allstar team to a 25 point victory over a scrappy FBA team. He used his a size to altar shots and rebound the ball well.
2021 CG "X" Rodriguez (SA All-Stars) - The strong lefty, Rodriguez displayed his ability to score and handle the ball, also setting his teammates up for easy buckets. Rodriguez displayed a very mature game for his age, and is certainly a team leader when on the floor.
2019 PG Sotonye Clement (Houston Kings) - Clement performed well Saturday evening showing off his leadership skills. He kept his composure when the game was close, and led by example. He scores when needed but passes first. Clement is a solid overall PG that always seems to make his teammates better.
2019 SG Leron Brown (Houston Kings) - Brown is a long guard who finishes well through contact. He has potential to be a great defender and slasher. He also finished the weekend with a 27 point effort.
2020 PG Darius Mackey (FBA) - Mackey led his team to a convincing victory against the Cats, he dished out assist after assist. He utilized the ball screens very well as he came off calm and ready to make a decision.
2017 CG Zavier Clay (Certified Grind) - Clay is a quick, flashy guard who plays with a lot of emotion. He uses his footwork to get by defenders, finish well around the rim. Plenty of potential with the rising senior if he stays in the lab and continues to work on his game.
2017 SG Shemar Hayes (Certified Grind) - We got the chance to check out Shemar Hayes, a big strong guard, this weekend. He scores at will and can beat you in a variety of ways. Hayes shoots the 3 pointer well and he attacks the rim head first, no hesitation with this kid.
2017 F Federico Mantilla (Austin Cavs) - We were impressed with Mantilla, he had a good showing Saturday evening. Some things that stood out to us was his footwork and strength. His ability to finish around the rim was second to none.
2018 CG Noah Rodriguez (SA Elite) - We were excited to be able to see a Future150 alum play as well as he did. Rodriguez is a long solid guard who uses his length to finish over smaller defenders. He displayed his ability to run a team and handle the ball very well.
2020 PF Ashanti Edwards (Southwest Elite) - A long forward with a high motor did a lot of good things this weekend. What we noticed was his great ability to finish in the paint with either hand and his mobility also stood out. Hunter finished with contact all weekend. He also altered and blocked shots on the defensive end.
2020 PG Eddie Austin (Southwest Elite) - Austin displayed his ability to score and handle the ball. He helped keep his team focused and calm through opposing teams scoring streaks. He is a good floor general that most teams benefit from having.
2020 PG Septien Reese (Southwest Elite) - Reese was a magician with the ball this weekend. His ball handling skills were great, he broke down defenders with flashy crossovers to get easy buckets.
