Houston, TX (Future150) -- The point guard, the head and leader of the team is arguably the most important position to have stabalized. 2019 point guard Herb Thomas of Louisiana Leadership shows all the qualitities that makes good point guards. Thomas possesses great handles and makes right decisions under pressure as far as passing. He finishes well with contact and with floaters and pull up jumpers near the freethrow line.

The backcourt duo of 2017 guards Jordan Pride and Justine Moore of Texas Select Broncos are high volume shooters that are able to create shots for others in the half court setting. Pride excels tremendously in transitiona and Moore, who also is effective in transition, scores at a high level in the half court setting.

Houston Heat, who is coached by former NBA big man Maurice Taylor has a young post in 2019 Jack Moore, who scores well with contact in the block. He also showcased a consistent baby hookshot with either hand and shows solid footwork to create his shot against bigger players.

2018 CG Tylan Jackson of Texas Takeover had the performance of the day hitting three straight three pointers in a minute to help finish the comeback for the young Takeover squad. Jackson stuggled in the begginning of the game but like the saying goes, its not how you start, but how you finish.

Other Top Performers:

2016 SG Dylan McGullan of the Houston Takeover can flat out shoot the ball. He handles the ball well under pressure and knows how to find space on the floor to score, he has a nice IQ with great court awareness.

2018 SG Darren Woodson of the Elevation Skills Sports Black is a very solid guard that is hard to guard in the half court. He has the ability to score the ball from anywhere on the floor, he is an exciting player to watch in the open floor.

2017 SG Cannon Broussard of M.C. Flight is a solid ball player that shoots the ball well and knows how to score and help his team in many ways. He is a hard player to slow down once he gets going and his team is playing with a flow. His ability to shot the 3 ball consistently makes him stand more than the average player he goes against.
