Presence of Deuce Fatheree Looms Large in Dallas

Dallas, TX (Future150) -- The presence of 2021 big man Deuce Fatheree has loomed large here in Dallas at the 2016 PrimeTime National Championships. Below are some tidbits on him, as well as some other standouts in the 13U division.

Deuce Fatheree, 2021 PF/C, Houston Defenders (TX): Already standing 6’8” and weighing in around 260-pounds, it’s not very impressive to see him dominant on the offensive end using his size. That’s expected. However, what we do like about him is his footwork in the low block, as well as his soft touch around the rim. He even showcased a nice mid-range jump shot as well. On the defensive end, he not only blocks several shots per game, but his sheer size and ability to get his hands up causes several more misses by timid opponents. Right now, he’s easily one of the best big men in the class nationally.

Steven Strong, 2021 PG, Kansas Pray & Play (KS): If there’s one thing the 5’10” lead guard can do, it’s score. He impressed the crowd on several occasions by pulling the trigger on 25-foot three-pointers, where he knocked down a few. He is fearless when attacking the basket, and also showed solid court vision as well.

Dalante Shannon, 2021 PG, AET Elite (OK): Running the show for his talented team, he’s the perfect compliment to Trey Alexander, as he’s an excellent facilitator with solid vision in both the half-court and transition settings. As they look to make a deep run in the PrimeTime National Championships, he will be the catalyst leading the charge.

Danquez Dawsey, 2021 SG, Lawton Showtime (OK): Dawsey is a big time scorer and has excellent ball handling skills.  He was a relentless attacker in the open floor. He did most of his damage on the fast break and was a menace defensively. He showed a great first step off the dribble, which created easy opportunities for this teammates. In a close loss, Dawsey was the clear leader for his team.

Willie English III, 2021 SF, Monroe Shockers (LA): English was in attack mode all game long and was slashing to the basket at will. He is a great rebounder from the wing position and loves to play in an up tempo game. He is an excellent on ball defender and is a very vocal leader when he is on the floor. The one thing you can say about his game is he never gives up on a play.

P.J. Neal, 2021 PG/SG, Houston Defenders (TX): A guard with great size already, standing 6’2”, he possesses excellent feel for the game as well as impressive instincts from the lead guard position. He also showed that he can move off-the-ball and be effective, which makes him even more enticing going forward. One underrated aspect of his game is his standout on-ball defense.

Darius Hannah, 2021 SF/PF, Wisconsin Playground Elite (WI): The length of the 6’3” forward had him dominating around the rim for his team on Saturday. The southpaw has a soft touch around the rim and is also an active defender on both ends of the floor. Right now, he projects as a smooth, tall wing going forward.

Trevon Williams, 2021 PG, Wisconsin Playground Elite (WI): The speed of the 5’10” Milwaukee product made the opposition dizzy on Saturday. Not only is he a problem in the half-court and transition due to his blazing quickness, but he also showed that he has an effective 3-point jump shot in his arsenal as well.
