Scotch Plains, NJ (Future150) -- If you are a big-time college and high school basketball fan, chances are that you have heard the name "Gibbs" for the better part of the past six years or so.
Ashton Gibbs, the former Pittsburgh Panther standout, is currently working out for NBA teams in preparation for Junes 2012 draft. He is known for his prolific shooting and his ability to move without the ball. In his four years at Pitt, he scored over 1,000 points and etched his name in the Panthers record books.
Sterling Gibbs also had a standout high school career of his own at Seton Hall Prep (NJ), before taking his talents to the University of Texas this past season. He recently decided to transfer home and will be suiting up for the Seton Hall Pirates, perhaps as early as next season due to an attempted NCAA hardship waiver.
Now, it's Temple "T.J." Gibbs turn to create a legacy of his own. The 6'1", 175 pound point guard has already started making noise in New Jersey, and there have been whispers that he could be the best of the talented Gibbs brothers when all is said and done.
It helps that he has two older brothers that can help prepare him not only for his high school career, but for major college basketball as well. "My brothers have taught me a lot. They taught me that there is more to the game than scoring, especially what you do off the court."
While fans are probably salivating at the opportunity to see the final brother start his career at Seton Hall Prep as a freshman, following in his brothers footsteps, don't be so sure. He is thinking about attending several different schools for his high school career.
"Pope John XXIII, Seton Hall Prep, St. Joseph's, Roselle Catholic, and Immaculata High School."
Whichever schools lands T.J. Gibbs, rest assured he will leave a long lasting legacy, one which stands apart from his brothers.
