Lexington, NC (Future150) -- During the summer live period there has been a handful of point guards from North and South Carolina who have been playing extremely well. One of these players recently picked up an offer from Kansas. Check out the list below to see which floor generals from the Carolina's have been bringing the heat this summer.
Coby White, 2018 PG, Team CP3: White has been playing extremely well on Team CP3 16's this summer and earned three high major offers in June from the likes of Iowa State, Tennessee, and Virginia. He is a crafty ball-handler who knows how to open scoring oppurtunities for himself and his teammates. White has solidified himself as a top 30 prospect and the high major offers should continue to roll in.
Sharone Wright, 2018 PG, Karolina Khaos: White, a native of Florence, SC, has continued to produce at a high rate over the course of the summer. Even though he hasn't picked up an offer since the end of June, there are plenty of high majors keeping a close eye on him. Including the reigning national champions, the Villanova Wildcats. His great size, athleticism, perimeter skills, and basketball IQ will allow him to play college basketball at the highest level in the next few years.
Jordan Perkins, 2017 PG, Team Felton: Jordan "Juice" Perkins may get a bit overshadowed at times playing on a loaded Team Felton squad that features UNC commit Jalek Felton along with 2019 studs Joey Baker and Greg Gantt. Make no mistake that this man can play. During the UAA Finals in Atlanta he was showing off his elite playmaking abiltiies and his underrated defense that not many talk about. Perkins holds offers from Catawba, North Carolina A&T, and Winston-Salem State right now. He has seen Denver, Hampton, and UNC-Wilmington show interest, and if he keeps playing at this rate he will certainly be a very serviceable PG at the low major D1 level in the years to come.
Devon Dotson, 2018 PG, Team Charlotte: Easily one of the elite PG's in his class, Dotson has played nothing short of great during the summer live period. He has already picked up four high major offers this month coming from Florida State, Memphis, Virginia Tech, and most recently, Kansas. His speed in the open floor kills opposing defenders and his three point jump shot is very much improved. Coach Roy Williams of UNC has been watching Dotson closely and it seems he is one of their top priorities for the 2018 class. It will be interesting to see if other blue bloods like Duke, Kentucky, or UCLA will come around for Dotson anytime soon. Either way this kid has an extremely bright future and the recent offer from Kansas is just the beginning.
