Philadelphia, PA (Future150) -- Penn State is on the upswing under Pat Chambers. After landing a couple of Top-150 Recruits in the 2015 class, the Nittany Lions are at it again in 2016.
On Friday afternoon, PSU landed another highly regarded Philadelphia recruit in small forward Lamar Stevens. After transferring to Roman Catholic to play alongside good friends and PSU-commits Tony Carr and Nazeer Bostick, the thought was that Stevens would end up in Happy Valley as well. Ultimately that was the case.
Add top-150 forward Joe Hampton into the mix, and PSU has already outclassed their 2015 efforts. With one scholarship still available in 2016, things could get even better in Happy Valley.
5-star wing Mario Kegler visited PSU last weekend, and the Nittany Lions are still involved with PF Sedee Keita. Landing either would be the cherry on top to a stellar class, and help Penn State shoot up the Big Ten rankings in the process. Regardless, Chambers and company have done a wonderful job on the recruiting trail. Their plan of attacking Philadelphia and the DMV area has paid off on the recruiting trail, and should pay off on the court as well.
