Houston, TX (Future150) -- Even though he might not be getting the same amount of pub as similar players in his class, Future150 alumni Paul Thomas of Humble, Texas is quickly making a name for himself on the national scene. Ranked the #50 prospect in the country by Future150, the 6-foot-8 Thomas is grabbing the attention of coaches around the country.
Houston, Weber State, Texas Tech, Lehigh, and Rice are on the list of schools who have offered the 2015 standout.
Tulsa, Oregon, Florida State, Maryland, Memphis, Stanford, Santa Clara, LSU, Penn State, and Arizona have all inquired and are closely watching his development this season.
“I am blessed to have so many great schools showing interest right now. With that being said, I am going to continue to work and stay focused on improving my game. I want to be able to go to a school where I can be a contributor from the moment I step on campus. The only way I can do that is to keep improving,” Paul commented.
Paul, who attends Summer Creek High School (TX), is a big part of their quick 3-0 start this season.
“He is a huge piece of the puzzle for Summer Creek. Coach Mourning does a great job with him. His shooting is improving, he loves to attack the paint, and he is a terror around the rim. He has a great understanding of the game and possesses excellent athleticism”, Adam Barnes, a scout for Future150, added.
No doubt that this is an extremely important year for Thomas, who looks to continue to add more offers to the table.
“I know this is my chance to really separate myself. Kansas State, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Western Kentucky are all watching extremely close and could be close to offering if I continue to perform on the court."
Thomas is by far one of the most dynamic players we have had in our camp program. His versatility is second to none and he will only continue to improve as a “basketball” player. Whoever lands his commitment is getting an extremely special player.
