Durham, NC (Future150) -- Omarion Jay came to Future150's Summit Camp this past summer and left making a huge impression after making the all-star game.
Now the 2020 big man is hearing from multiple division one programs and is planning on transferring from Northern High School located in Durham, North Carolina.
"My plan is to attend Westridge Academy in Winston-Salem and play for them through the remainder of the season starting in January," Jay said.
Measuring in at 6'8" with a 7'0" wingspan in August, it's safe to say he has the size and length to play at a high level in the division one category. He has a massive frame at around 250 pounds, and is very springy for a big man. He loves to collect offensive rebounds, and finish over the top of the defense.
As he continues to carve out his frame and develop a few go-to post moves, Jay will undoubtedly start picking up more interest as he continues to improve upon his game.
"I want to work on improving my jump shot and expanding upon my style of play, so I'm not known as a player who's only good at just one thing," Jay said.
With programs like College of Charleston, High Point, and UConn currently showing early interest in him, expect that list to continue to grow once he gets to Westridge Academy in January and begins playing again.
Continue to follow along with Future150 as we track Jay's progress and recruitment process.
