Orlando, FL (Future150) -- Florida is always one of the more talented states in the country when it comes to churning out high level basketball players, and the class of 2019 looks to be fitting right in.
Osceola (FL) was one of the premier teams at The Showdown in O'Town, and center Omar Payne was one of the more impressive players for the Kowboys despite being just a sophomore.
The big man is still learning the ins-and-outs of the game, but his natural abilties are undeniable. At 6-foot-9, 215 pounds, Payne projects as an impact defensive player at the next level.
"I feel like my biggest strengths right now are defense and rebounding. I know I need to communicate in order for my team to play good defense," said Payne
Louisville, Wake Forest and Florida State have all begun to show interest, while North Florida is the lone offer as of right now. With schools being unable to contact him directly, things have yet to pick up for the mobile forward.
He will suit up with CP25 Elite this AAU season, and with schools being able to talk to him directly in June, things will certainly be changing for one of Orlando's top players. Look for him to be one of the big stock risers this spring.
