Santa Ana, CA (Future150) -- One of the best shooters to emerge nationally this season has been Mater Dei (CA) shooting guard Rex Pflueger, a junior standout.
The 6-foot-5 wing has helped lead Mater Dei to an impressive 28-0 record as they are currently ranked #1 in the country, according to MaxPreps.
His outstanding play has not gone unnoticed, as several programs have already offered him scholarships. Currently, Florida, UTEP, N.C. State, Connecticut, Cal, Notre Dame, Loyola Marymount, Utah State, Washington State, UC Irvine, Cal Poly, Boston College, San Diego State & USC have all offered.
That is quite an impressive list for a junior, but the humble Pflueger isn't fazed by all the attention.
"I'm working on team goals. I have great teammates and we work hard. People say the West Coast is soft, so we are out to prove otherwise," he told Future150 at the Spalding Hoophall Classic in January.
Specialzing in scoring the basketball, Rex is an efficient shooter from mid-range as well as three-point range. He knows how to get open and also has excellent athleticism.
Look for his stock to continue to soar this coming AAU season. Stay tuned to Future150 for updates on the West Coast sniper.
