Troy, NY (Future150) --
While the Future150 National Camp in Nashville saw plenty of players come from all over, one player made the trip all the way from upstate New York. Zach Radz is a native of Troy, New York. But that didn't stop him from coming to Nashville and proving that he was one of the top players at camp.
At 6-foot, he can play either guard position, although his best skill is his ability to score the rock. He is a supremely confident player who can run the offense and is a threat to shoot it from 22+ feet out.
He has formed an unlikely friendship with fellow Future150 alum Andrew Fleming, who joined him at National camp. Watching the two play together it was hard to tell that they live 15 hours apart.
"When we were younger we went to a lot of the same camps so we kind of just hit it off," Radz said at camp.
Right now Radz is focusing on leading Troy on a run towards the state title this year. While he hasn't been asked to be the go-to scorer yet, this is the year that he will take center stage. Joining him will be 2016 PG Dyaire Holt. With Holt being able to play either guard spot as well, the two will form a formidable duo.
"He should be one of the best shooters in the state. Zach was a lot of fun to coach at camp. He's a tough kid who wants to win and has a little flare to his game, he's a lot of fun to watch when he gets hot. I can't wait to see what he does at our camp in Troy this June," Coach Adam Barnes said.
Look for Zach to continue to prove that he's one of the more underrated players in the state and pick up plenty of college interest along the way.
Be sure to follow along with Future150 as we continue to track Zach's junior year.
